This Issue (AJTCAM Volume 17, Issue 1, 2020), examines in its Commentary, the management of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and discusses the possible role of Complementary and Alternative Medicines in its management. One of the other articles screens Egyptian medicinal plants for anticancer properties, while one other paper contains a report on a herbal suspension formulation with potent anti-sickling properties. Moreover, Abdallah et al identified a reasonable number of Nigerian trees, shrubs and herbs used in the treatment and/or management of gastrointestinal ailments, such as diarrhoea, dysentery, pile and ulcer in Yobe State of Nigeria.
