Abstract

ABSTRACT. The ethanol extracts of Globimetula braunii (Engle) Van Tiegh leaf growing on Cola acuminata (Schott & Endl) host was investigated for laxative activity in rats. The extract exhibited significant dose-dependent laxative activity at 500mg/kg and 1000mg/kg. Keywords: Globimetula braunii, Laxative, leaf.
